John and the entire staff at Short & Rowe Funeral Home have been so accommodating and comforting to our entire family and loved ones since the very first moment I picked up the phone and talked to John on the same day that my dad passed on which was eleven days ago. From that moment on, John and his team have made excellent recommendations, adjusted and modified their plans rather frequently in order to accommodate our diverse emotional needs and turns. John and the team have also magnificently incorporated a solemn Buddhist ceremony into the entire ceremony, so our family could have the chance to honor my dad in our traditions. We have just finished our ceremony for my dad just a few hours ago, and I couldn’t wait to put these words down, so we can express our deep gratitude to Short & Rowe Funeral Home and the people who run it. People often say that all is well that ends well. To apply this expression to John and his team at Short & Rowe Funeral Home, I have to add that the whole event started well right from the beginning and it got better and better up till the very end! Hello—many miles of thanksgiving to you for being there for my family. Ann was more like a sister to me, than a sister-in-law. I was able to be there when my brother, Harold “Harry”passed and know that you did a wonderful job then. But, unfortunately, the weather sometimes comes between Ohio and Massachusetts. But, I have no doubt in my mind that nothing will be missed. Thank you again and may the blessings of our Heavenly Father be with you all today in the wake as well as the service tomorrow. John was extremely accommodating, compassionate and understanding. I was in out of state on Christmas Eve, or my father passed away. He took the time from his family to meet with us so that I could fly out and meet my family for Christmas. Discuss everything I feel is unheard of the day of the funeral, he knocked it out of the park. Everything was well organized, structured well placed the flowers were appropriate. I would highly highly recommend this company to anybody that’s unfortunately in this position of losing a loved one you won’t find somebody better than John was and handling my sisters and I.

Heather & John I can’t thank you enough for everything you did for our family when our mom passed away. I especially want to thank you for the love & care you showed our mom. John, you were so caring and respectful & you & Heather helped us make mom’s services so beautiful.
