Is Now The Right Time to Consider Preplanning a Funeral?

The primary reason that so many people today make pre-arrangements is that it simply makes good sense. More and more people are choosing to arrange their funerals, or the funeral of a loved one, in advance. Pre-planned and/or pre-funded funeral arrangements, cremation and cemetery arrangements can considerably ease your family's burden when death occurs. Pre-planned and pre-funded funeral arrangements can also play an integral part in your family's financial planning.

Pre-arrangements are intended to meet all your individual wishes, as well as the wishes of those who love you. The most important step is to document your wishes and keep them on file in a safe place. There is no cost or obligation for arranging one's wishes and keeping them on file at our funeral home. If pre-payment is desired or necessary, we offer several options, and we can explain each of them to you. One of our funeral directors would be glad to meet with you at the funeral home or in your own home. They will walk you through the process and answer all your questions, at no obligation whatsoever.

If you wish, you may then forward a copy by mail or e-mail to the funeral home to be kept on file, absolutely free of charge. If you have questions, a funeral director will be glad to help you. In any case, we would call to follow-up and let you know your information is safely on file.

You may want to consider a pre-arrangement meeting. Making funeral arrangements is not a common task for most people. It may be a new experience for you, and we can explain the entire process when we meet. Per Massachusetts law, the funeral director must provide the consumer with the following information:

  1. A General Price List with the current prices for any merchandise, services and facilities offered by the funeral home.
  2. A Pre-need Itemization Statement that lists the items of merchandise, services and facilities that have been chosen, and the price of each.
  3. A Pre-need Agreement that outlines all the terms, as well as a consumer's rights as the Purchaser. It must also state how the principal and interest will be applied to the cost of the funeral services and merchandise at the time they are provided.

Contact us at any time to discuss pre-planning. Arrangements can also be made in the comfort of your own home by clicking the button below. Fill in as much as you are comfortable with and we'd be pleased to meet with you to discuss further. See the form below for details.
