Helen V. (Papadopoulos) Scouras

Helen V. Scouras, 96, long time resident of Marlborough passed away peacefully on Thursday April 21, 2022, at Beaumont Rehabilitation and Skilled Nursing in Northborough.

Helen was born in Louvre, Greece and is the daughter of the late Vasilios and Despina (Kiriazi) Papadopoulos. 

Helen was predeceased by her husband of 40 years, William Scouras in 1992 and by her 2 sisters and a brother.

She came to the United States in 1951 and quickly became involved in the Sts Anargyroi Greek Orthodox Church in Marlborough and was an active member of the Enosis Philoptochos Society. She worked at the local shoe factories and at Family House of Pizza.

She was dedicated to her family and is survived by her daughter Katherine M. Tsavidis and her partner Andrew Whitham; her son Angelo W. Scouras and his wife Debbie, all of Marlborough. Three grandchildren, Anna Tsavidis, Dean Tsavidis, Angela Scouras and a great granddaughter Shantai. She was a loving friend to many, and you would find her chatting with her best friend, Chrysanthi Regan of Marlborough.

A Funeral Mass will be Celebrated on Tuesday, April 26, 2022, at 11 a.m. in Sts. Anargyroi Greek Orthodox Church, 9 Central St., Marlborough, MA. Burial will follow in the family lot in Evergreen Cemetery, Wilson St., Marlborough.

Calling hours will be held prior to her Mass on Tuesday, April 26, in the Church from 9-11 a.m.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in her name to, Sts. Anargyroi Greek Orthodox Church.
