Gene "Geno" R. Egizi

Gene “Geno” R. Egizi, 94 of Marlborough, died on Wednesday, May 18, 2022, at Marlborough Hospital.

Geno was born in Marlborough, MA the son of the late Americo and Florence (Shuber) Egizi.

He was predeceased by his wife of 50 years, Elizabeth “Betty” A. (Bateman) Egizi in 2009.

Geno served in the U.S. Air Force during WWII. He owned and operated Conversion Coatings in Hudson, MA.

Geno is survived by his daughter Maureen Cosgrove and her husband Thomas of Marlborough; his son, Paul Egizi and his wife Diane of Southborough; 3 grandchildren, Jack, Joseph and Nicole; his sister Lillian Belforti of Framingham and several nieces and nephews.

A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Tuesday, May 24, 2022, at 11 a.m. in Immaculate Conception Church, 11 Prospect St, Marlborough, MA. Burial will follow in Evergreen Cemetery, Wilson St., Marlborough.

Calling hours will be held on Tuesday prior to his Mass from 9:30-11 a.m. in the Short & Rowe Funeral Home, 95 W. Main St. Marlborough, MA.

In Lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in Geno’s name to Marlborough Youth Baseball Association (MYBA), P.O. Box 5715, Marlborough, MA 01752.
