SSG Edward C. Sousa

Staff Sergeant Edward C. Sousa, 43 of Marlborough died unexpectedly on Friday, March 4, 2022 at his home.

He was born in Worcester, MA, the son of Joanne (Sousa) Carlson.

Ed retired in 2009 as a highly decorated Staff Sargent in the U.S. Army as a Cavalry Scout serving 2 tours in Iraq.

He is survived by his daughter Kaylee, his parents, Joanne (Sousa) and James Carlson of Marlboro, his sister, Jessica Arcoraci and her husband Michael Arcoraci of Pasadena, Maryland; niece Charlotte Arcoraci and nephew Mason Arcoraci. He is also survived by many cousins, friends, and his Army brothers.

Ed enjoyed watching movies, listening to music, and spending time with his family. He enjoyed name-calling battles with his niece and keeping up with his nephew’s stats in little league baseball. Above all, Ed loved his New England sports teams and was a diehard fan (for better or worse).
