Rae Jean (Butler) Stott, 76, of Marlborough, passed away peacefully Friday, August 11th, 2023, at
UMASS Memorial Medical Center in Worcester.
Rae was born in Marlborough, the daughter of Dolores A Combs Belmore and the late Robert J. Belmore. She was a graduate of Marlborough High School, Class of ’64.
Rae married George M. Stott, also of Marlboro in 1992.
Rae is survived by her beloved family, her son Michael L. Letendre of Worcester, her mother Dolores
Belmore, her sister Robin Ferchen and her husband David of Oxford, her brother Chip Belmore and his
wife Adreina of Marlborough. Her cherished grandson Jason Michael and his wife Nicole and her adored
great grandchildren, Dexter Michael, and Fiona Rae, as well as many nieces and nephews, several
extended family members and countless beloved friends.
Rae was predeceased by her husband George, father Robert and brother James Butler.
Rae held an auxiliary membership at the Amvets and VFW of Marlboro. She was also a member of the
Moose of Marlboro.
Rae loved yard sales, knitting, and was an avid bingo, video poker player. Rae’s favorite pastime was to
cook while listening to easy listening artists, Englebert Humperdink, for she was his number one fan.
Following cremation, Calling Hours will be held on Wednesday, August 23, 2023 from 5-7 pm in the Short & Rowe Funeral Home, 95 W. Main St., Marlborough, MA.
A private burial will be held at a later date.
