Peter A. Scouras, 83, died Tuesday January 26, 2021 after a period of failing health. He was the husband of 28 years of the late Barbara (Berte) Scouras who died in 1986. He was born September 24, 1937, in Marlborough, and was the son of the late Angelo and Katherine (Moungelis) Scouras and lived in Marlboro all his life. After graduating from Marlboro High School he enlisted in the United States Navy in July of 1955. During his time in the Navy he proudly served on the USS Leyte.
After retiring from the Navy Pete pursued a career as a chef. He worked for years at Ken’s Steak house in Framingham until he left to take the head chef position at Keeper’s II restaurant in Marlboro. He then went into business with his son’s Michael and Peter and purchased Nicky’s restaurant in Wrentham. He enjoyed working there with his sons until his retirement in 2005. In retirement Pete could be often found at a local coffee shop conversing with friends or playing 3 card poker at Foxwoods. Pete will be greatly missed by his family and by all those who had the pleasure of knowing him.
He is survived by three sons; Michael Scouras of Marlborough, Peter Scouras of Marlborough and Steven Scouras and his wife Diane of Upton, three grandchildren; Steven Scouras and his wife Lindsay, Alexandra Welch her husband Mitchell and Anthony Scouras and fiancé Melissa Hebert and three great grandchildren: Ella Welch, Avery Welch and Nico Scouras . He is also survived by his sister-in -law Helen Scouras, niece Kathy Tsavidis, many nephews, notably Angelo Scouras. He was proceeded in death by his brothers William A. Scouras and Steven A Scouras.
