Paul J. St. George, 70, of Holden, MA died on Tuesday July 11, 2023, at Saint Vincent Hospital in Worcester, MA after a lengthy illness.
Paul was born in Boston, MA, the son of the late Joseph & Dorothy M. (Kerswell) St. George. Paul was predeceased by his wife of 40 years, Cheryl A. (Agnew) St George. He is survived by his devoted sister, Donna M. Metivier of Worcester, MA, a brother-in-law Leo Agnew, Jr of Northboro, MA, 3 sisters-in-law Brenda Petske and her husband Jeffrey of Florida, Debra Baldelli and her fiancé James Nims of Westboro, MA, and Pamela Agnew of Clinton, MA as well as many nieces and nephews. Paul was predeceased by his brothers-in-law Richard D. Metivier, Sr and Tim Agnew in 2020.
Paul, a graduate of Marlborough High School, enjoyed attending all the different sports games. In the 1980s, he coached for the Marlboro youth baseball association. After moving to Clinton, Paul attended the Eagles football games and made a hobby of collecting New England team's memorabilia. He was a member of the Lions club.
Paul and his wife Cheryl moved to Worcester. They played Mr. & Mrs. Santa Claus for many different businesses, establishments, and their nieces and nephews. Even while suffering from a lengthy illness, Paul still managed to be a social butterfly. As a member of Holden Rehabilitation and Nursing Facility, his gifts of conversation, making friends, and enjoying country music served him well.
He was known as “The Mayor” of the facility. As his health permitted, he participated in numerous social activities: calling bingo numbers, organizing karaoke parties, and playing Santa Claus for residents and their families. Known for his sense of humor and caring nature, Paul will be sorely missed by his family and friends.
Paul’s family would like to express their deepest gratitude to the staff at the Holden Rehabilitation and Nursing facility for the care and support given to Paul.
