Maryanne (Carlow) Hanick

     Maryanne Hanick, 88, of Marlborough, MA., formerly of Newton, MA , died peacefully Monday, January 4, 2021, at Notre Dame Health Care, Worcester, MA. She was the wife of the late Robert J. Hanick and the Mother of the late Kevin A. Hanick. She is survived by daughter Maureen E. Cole and her husband, Joseph, of Ridgway, PA., Brenda A. Hanick of Watertown, Susan Turchon of Marlborough, Michael J. Hanick & Linda Lane of Framingham, and Maryanne Hanick & David Phayre of Cranston, R.I. She also leaves her Sisters; Sr. Theresa Carlow, Patricia LaFauci, and  Anne Ford, seven grandchildren: Andrew, Matthew, Elizabeth, Lauren, Eric, Ruthanne and David, as well as 16 great grandchildren.

     She was a 1950 graduate of Saint John the Evangelist High School, Cambridge, MA. She had many interests and talents including: “the most welcoming host”, crafts included: braiding rugs, sewing and knitting. She enjoyed traveling with the love of her life, Bob.

     Private funeral arrangements are being planned for a later date under the direction oft the Short & Rowe Funeral Home (www.shortandrowefuneralhome.com), 95 W.
