Obituary

Louis “Lou” R. Tramontozzi 65 of Marlborough, died unexpectedly at his home on Saturday, May 27, 2023.

Lou was born in Boston, the son of the late Fiore and Concettina (Antonellis) Tramontozzi

He earned his BS in Engineering from UMass Lowell and then his Master’s in Engineering from UMass, Amherst. We worked for Raytheon Corp for over 40 years, retiring in 2021.

Lou is survived by his loving wife of 23 years, Gayle M. (Soper) Tramontozzi of Marlborough, a sister Donna Tramontozzi of Watertown, 1 niece and a nephew as well as many friends.

He was predeceased by a brother Andrew Tramontozzi.

Lou had a passion for Ham Radio, he was a member of Amateur Radio Relay League, ARRL, for many years as well as the Antique Wireless Association. His call sign was KA1HIH and is now a silent key. He enjoyed fixing antique TV’s and radios and loved to do karaoke.

Calling hours will be held on Thursday, June 1, 2023 from 5-7 pm in the Short & Rowe Funeral Home, 95 W. Main St., Marlborough, MA

A Graveside Service will be held on Friday, June 2, 2023 at 11 a.m. in Evergreen Cemetery, Wilson St., Marlborough
