Frank Bennett Obituary

Frank Bennett 75 of Marlborough, MA passed away at his home on January 7, 2023

He leaves his loving wife Kathleen “Kathy” (Keddie) Bennett, his daughter, Kate Goldschmidt, her husband Mark and their daughters Kiora and Kyla of Natick, MA, a brother Ken Bennett of Bedford, NH who was predeceased by his wife Susan.

Frank was born in Concord, NH, the son of the late Raymond and Frances “Fran” (Parmenter) Bennett.  There he enjoyed many childhood adventures with his fellow Keene “Cronies” who have remained life-long friends.  Frank moved to Boston to attend Vesper George School of Art where he met Kathy.  He was a fearless adventurer who proudly worked on a shrimp boat in Texas and hitchhiked across the country twice.

“Like a rolling stone,” Frank held many kinds of jobs in many kinds of work environments, but he was most proud of his work at A&M Models in Hudson, MA.  There he moved all the way up to a Senior Model Builder, using his art school training to engineer prints, concept drawings and rough models for different trade show displays and interactive museum exhibits.  Frank was a proud pack rat who collected all sorts of trinkets big and small, and reveled in the fact that one day his daughter would have to get rid of all of them.  After he retired, Frank spent much of his time enjoying life at his vacation home on Franklin Pierce Lake in Antrim, NH and painting.  He even won a few art contests over the past several years.

He loved walking his neighborhood to talk with the many friends who seemed like family and earned the title “The Mayor of Greenwood Street” for helping to plan and lead decades of block parties.  In the end, however, he enjoyed nothing more than spending time with his loving granddaughters and teaching them how life should be lived--with a focus on people and nature, not on things.
